RYMAN ONE NORTH: GRAYS had to settle for a point after conceding a 95th-minute equaliser at home to Maldon & Tiptree, who finished the game with ten men.
The final score was 1-1.
Former Billericay man Oliver Berquez struck at the death, after Dean Pennant had put Grays in front in the 70th minute.
Grays should have had the game wrapped up by half-time but wasted a host of chances, including Alex Osborn hitting the bar.
Maldon’s Grant Cooper was shown a straight red on 70 minutes for kicking out at Osborn.
And the cross from the resulting free-kick was swept home by Pennant to give Grays the lead.
And it looked like that would be the winner until Berquez latched on to a long ball forward and volleyed home with the last kick of the game.
