AFTER the frozen lakes stopped sport over recent weeks, matches resumed at Gloucester Park this week.
In a field with a very good turnout, Frank Vickers came first with a total weight of 55lb 4oz.
In second place was Steve Lloyd with 17lb 13oz, and in third place was Geoff Byatt with 12lb 6oz.
And at Northlands Park, regular Jay Edwards fished a day session in the life buoy swim on the road lake and landed a fantastic 22lb mirror carp.
The successful bait for Jay was a new boilie from Atomic tackle, which is soon to be released in the tackle shops.
The matches will continue this Sunday at Gloucester Park.
Participants will meet at 7am, the draw is at 7.30am, and the match will be between 8.30am and 2:30pm.
The entry fee is £13, and that includes a £5 day ticket, £7 pools, £1 golden peg. There is also an optional super pools fee of £5.
Two keepnets and an unhooking mat are required.
