NON-LEAGUE: HARRY Elmes hit a 93rd-minute goal as Concord came from two down to earn a point at home to high-flying Bury Town.
The visitors held a 2-0 lead with 15 minutes to go and looked to be heading for all three Ryman Premier points.
But Marc Sontag’s close-range finish from Tony Stokes’ cross gave the Beachboys hope and, with the seconds running out, Elmes tucked home James Hawes’ cross following a flowing team move to complete an excellent comeback.
Freddie Warren, brought in on loan from League One club Charlton, also made his debut as a late substitute and played a part in the equaliser.
Concord joint manager Danny Scopes said: “Following our performance against Sutton, this was another good result against a very good side.
“And it was a great game of football, and a real treat for the fans.”
One downer from the match was a head injury for Concord’s Gary Ogilvie. He needed six stitches after clattering into the railings but is expected to recover in time for Saturday’s game with Horsham.
Elsewhere in the division, it was another depressing night for BILLERICAY as they went down 3-2 at Tooting & Mitcham.
It was the first time the sides had met for 15 years and the night started well for Town as they took a 12th-minute lead through Micah Hyde.
But the Terrors hit back with a cracker from Jamie Byatt, before a defensive mix-up allowed Rob Howarth to give them a 2-1 half-time lead.
James Lawson restored parity on 52 minutes, but the hosts snatched all three points six minutes from time with a fortuitous winner which saw Francis Dellow slide the ball home following a miss-hit shot.
It was Billericay’s sixth straight league defeat, and manager Craig Edwards said: “This is now my biggest test as either a player or a manager. But it is one that I and my team are up for.
“We have not been out-played in any of those six games, and I know we are just one win away from turning things round.
“And our supporters have been great. They applauded us off the pitch against Tooting.
“That was first class and they can rest assured that we are desperate to start turning things around.”
In Ryman One North, Ross Wall scored his second goal for his new club GREAT WAKERING to rescue a point at home to Waltham Forest.
Wall hooked home Marc Gorbell’s knock-down with six minutes to go after Ian Luck’s penalty and a goal from Joel Palmer had put the visitors 2-1 up.
Dan Trenkel had scored a 40th-minute penalty to send the teams in level at the break.
And the league leaders EAST THURROCK picked up another three points with a 4-2 win at home to AFC Sudbury.
The Rocks goals were scored by Kris Newby (two), Max Cornhill and Reiss Gilbey.
