Maidenhead United 1 Thurrock 3 THE Ship Lane revival continued as Thurrock battled for their third straight league win at York Road.
The first goal came when Matt Bodkin’s corner was headed home by centre back Rob Swaine, writes Bill Robinson.
Fleet keeper Joe Woolley made a fine save to protect the visitors’ lead before Jamie Richards fired home their second goal with a superb left-foot strike on 60 minutes.
Maidenhead pulled one back three minutes later with a penalty from Kieran St Aimie, following a foul by Swaine.
But returning Fleet favourite Paul Olima came off the bench to seal the win with a fine shot from 18 yards.
The match went ahead after Maidenhead Leisure Centre came to the Magpies’ rescue following the theft of their water boiler and piping on Thursday.
With the threat of a postponement because the players were unable to have a shower, the leisure centre let the teams use their facilities.
Thurrock: Woolley, Pope, Flynn, Harward, Swaine, Sie, Bodkin, Cracknell, Richards, Knight, Carlos.
