Ilford 1, Tilbury 2 RYMAN ONE NORTH: It was a poor first half until Ilford’s Junior Appiah flicked the ball over a defender before hitting it into the goal on 33 minutes, writes Karel Sharman.
Tilbury got back on level terms on 48 minutes as a clearance fell to man-of-the-match Sam West and he superbly volleyed the ball past the Ilford keeper.
The game was still very tight but was settled ten minutes from time as Dockers’ substitute Chris Stowe won a penalty, and the ever-reliable Ben Bradbury dispatched the ball from 12 yards to claim all three points.
Tilbury: Marrable, Crowther, S.West, Good, Matthews, Bradbury, Henty, Mustafa, Cook, Taylor, J.West.
