ATHLETICS: EIGHT Thurrock Harriers performed well in the Brentwood Half Marathon on Sunday.
They finished in second place in the team race, only beaten by road running specialists Springfield Striders.
Thurrock’s team was led home by the in-form Scott Rice.
At 41, Rice is running his fastest times.
He judged his effort perfectly to finish in sixth place in 75m07s. And the runner is on target for his best ever London time.
This weekend road runners are in action again in the Hastingwood 10K. On Friday the Harriers hold their AGM in the clubhouse at 8pm.
