NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL:CANVEY’S stewards have been praised for helping a visiting goalkeeper who suffered an horrific double leg break, writes James Colasanti.
Jonathan North need treatment for clean breaks of his right leg’s tibia and fibula following an accidental clash with Gulls striker Jason Hallett.
It led to a 20-minute delay in Tuesday’s Ryman Premier game at Park Lane as home stewards and medical team worked with the Stones coaches to help the stricken player.
Paramedics were on the scene within 10 minutes and the player was stretched away to a waiting ambulance.
